“Mojo in the Haus” is a series that we have started to bring in local and regional artists that you may or may not know to learn a little bit about their story and what makes them tick.

This month we have the “Picker from Pickens”

Mr. Luke Deuce!!!

Luke Deuce is a rising country singer-songwriter from Pickens, South Carolina, whose roots in music began early — he started performing Johnny Cash songs in kindergarten, and grew up playing instruments with his dad in his luthier shop.

Blending classic country sounds from the 1940s to the 1990s with a modern sensibility, Luke draws from his "old soul" influences to craft heartfelt songs grounded in real life.

In just a few years, he’s attracted attention beyond his home region — performing hundreds of shows across the Southeast, collaborating with experienced songwriters and producers, and earning accolades like the first ever “Rising Star” award from the SC Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame.
