We're putting the Indian back in the India Pale Ale! Today is IPA day and we are throwing every kind of IPA-inspired-ale we make onto the taps from West Coast, to Belgian, to Brett to Sour! Come get your hop-fix along with a heaping helping of amazing Indian-inspired cuisine from the super talented chefs at Friends Farm and Catering.

Summertime Speakeasy & Sorbet Soiree!

It’s time for another EPIC party at the Bauern, and we've invited a few of our favorite brewery and performing friends to show Anderson a good time.

Join us for a day of cocktail-inspired ales and fresh whole fruit sorbets from the #upstateSC bounty of fruits and herbs. Your $15 entry ticket includes a custom commemorative 8.5oz cocktail glass (while supplies last), with 4 coupons good for 4oz drink pours and sorbet scoops. Add that to more than 20 beverages to choose from, live swing, jug, and old time music from the Clemson-based Patriot's Pocket Band and then New Orleans-infused jazz with Tuba Gin, and you’ve got a real bullfrog’s beard! We’ll have prizes throughout the day for Best-Dressed Flappers & Dappers, so come strut your stuff and shake a few tail feathers. Our neighbors at Earle Street Kitchen and Bar will be back at the Bauern serving up summertime eats in their pop-up kitchen, with a selection of Bauern sodas and Kombucha.

Cocktail and sorbet inspired ales from 8th State Brewing, Lenny Boy Brewing, and Golden Grove Farm & Brew will be featured, alongside several of our own creations, including the latest Old Fashioned collaboration with Seneca’s new Keowee Brewing Co., and four fresh variants of our award winning Whiskey-Sour with fresh peaches, blackberries and tangelos! If that’s not enough, our first ever wine-cooler inspired GF ale Sorghummy Weaver is making its bottle debut, and it looks amazing! This Sparkling Sorghum Spritzer features hyper-local sorghum juice, strawberries and wild flower honey aged in red wine barrels with native yeast and a white tea infusion (5.5% abv). Limited bottles available, and sure to tickle-your-tastebuds.

Our Farmhouse Rye IPA contains generous amounts of West coast hops, Regionally malted barley, and locally grown; regionally malted heirloom rye malt. The delicate balance between spicy rye and bold American hops of this hazy gold beer will delight your tastebuds.

Whiskey Sour
We aged our natively fermented golden sour ale with lemons and limes on oak from regional distilleries. This process results in a tart, refreshing, and explosively citrus ale with subtle whiskey barrel character. This unique regional ale draws its acidity from a strain of lactobacillus isolated by SouthYeast labs from opuntia fruit and a blend of yeast strains captured from Clemson University’s Musser Experimental Fruit Research Farm.
