For September our book club is participating in the Anderson County Library's Books and Community program! The focus of the program is SC250 and the Revolutionary War. We will read and discuss "Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for America's Independence" by Carol Berkin. Free copies available at any Anderson County Branch Library. Also available in ebook and audio form on Libby. Invite a friend and come early to enjoy brews, pizza and other tasty treats from Carolina Bauernhaus!

How it works:

This will be like a pickup game of basketball. You don’t know who you’re playing with or what song you will play but watch and see how it all comes together. Our goal is to have a good time and make music!

Guitar players:

Bring your own axe and SMALL AMP!!!!

please keep in mind this is a small room, no need to bring the 6x12 Marshall stack!

Please aim to have your rig setup by 7pm

Drummers:

Drums are provided just bring your sticks.

Bass players:

Bring your own bass. Bass amp provided.

Keys players:

Feel free to bring your own board. You can go directly into the house or bring your own amp if needed.

Acoustic guitars:

We will have a DI box setup or bring a small amp if needed.

September's Line Up Includes

Just Juniper: Two piece Indie folk group from Clemson, SC, with soothing violin and melancholic, anxious guitar. The group has an EP available on Youtube and appears on various mixtapes.

Tangerine Scene: Indie rock from Clemson, SC, pulling from folk, slacker rock, and catchy pop-hooks. Find their latest EP release “Interphase”on Spotify; new releases coming soon!

Lone Cricket: Recorded entirely in Lone Cricket’s hand built cabin, Nonagon Volume 1 is more of an aural journey than a collection of standard songs. Incorporating elements of the surrounding forest such as the crickets, cicadas, and even the rain slowly forming across the roof, revealing a sonic imprint of the shape of the cabin, the natural sounds compliment LC’s haunting, atmospheric textures, his earthy finger picked acoustic guitar work, and his rustic voice. Spanning the globe for inspiration, the solo guitar compositions draw inspiration from Americana folk / Dark Folk, as well as Flamenco, Cumbia, Middle Eastern, and West African traditions. The result is music that moves between introspection and energy—balancing stillness and movement, memory and immediacy, in a deeply immersive experience.

Anderson Undercover is an upcoming independent television series created by TBT Entertainment that highlights the streets, history, and culture of Anderson, South Carolina.

The show centers heavily on the Sugar Hill neighborhood in Anderson, SC.

It explores local history, real-life struggles, community bonds, loyalty, and street stories without a Hollywood script.

The full series is planned for release in 2027. Promotional trailers, casting calls, and community meet-and-greets are rolling out through late 2026.
