November First Friday

First Friday #AtTheBauern features local artists and musicians showcasing their talent. Join us November 5th from 7-10 PM to support local by sipping on your favorite hyperlocal beverage, purchasing a piece of art, and tapping your feet to some sweet tunes!

You can check out photographer and herbalist Kristy Williams in Anderson during the month of November. Kristy is the creator & crafter of Floricopia, where she brings nature and magic together from foraged finds and cultivated gardens by blending wild edibles and medicinals into tasty treats and herbal products. She uses invasives, nurtures and cultivates commonly used herbs, and sources locally whenever possible. Her diversity of interest is seasonal, and inspired by the plants and moon cycles. Kristy shares her passion for wild foods by teaching hands-on classes where you can learn about common yard “weeds”, local plants and herbs. As Kristy spends time out in the field working and crafting, she always has an eye peeled for capturing moments that embrace her love of nature in all forms. Get a glimpse through her eyes the whole month of November by viewing nature transformed into ethereal abstracts through her photography. All proceeds from prints go to supporting our local herbal community.

Music will be provided by Cowboy & The Kid, offering Outlaw and Popular Country from 7-10 PM. Johnny Crooks has spent half his life making his living horseback. A lot of people wear the hat and boots on stage as a prop, but his boots and hat are just as an authentic part of him as his songs are. He writes from real world experiences of being both a cowboy and an outlaw. His unique blend of country country, folk and rock tells the stories of a life lived on the edge, bordering between tall tales and truth.
